Controlled Drugs (CD) – Important Patient Information
From Monday 8th April 19, Controlled Drugs (CD) can be sent electronically to your pharmacy along with your other medicines. If you don’t already have an EPS (Electronic Prescription Service) pharmacy nomination and you are not a MyHealth dispensing patient, you can be easily set up with this functionality – please contact your chosen pharmacy.

From Monday 1 April 2019, Gabapentin and Pregabalin (any form) will change their legal status to a Controlled Drug, this means that we can only issue up to one month’s supply at a time and prescriptions are only valid for a 28 day period. We are currently reviewing our patients on these drugs to ensure they comply with this change. If you have any questions about this, please make arrangements to speak to our Pharmacist.
